Even though Taylor Swift wasn’t part of the Coachella 2024 lineup, she managed to turn Saturday into her own version of Coachella.

Just one week before the release of her much-anticipated album, *The Tortured Poets Department* (set to drop on April 19), Swift took some time to support her friends Jack Antonoff and Ice Spice by showing up to dance at both of their Coachella sets.

However, Ice Spice took it a step further by surprising fans at the Sahara stage with an unexpected performance. She played her remix of Swift’s song “Karma,” thrilling the crowd and making Swift’s presence even more memorable.

“Shout out to Taylor motherf—ing Swift!” Ice Spice shouted enthusiastically as she kicked off her set. “I love you!”

The crowd erupted in excitement as the remix of Swift’s song “Karma” began to play. Swift, who was with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, in the audience, joined in the celebration, cheering and raising her hands in the air. The couple danced together as Ice Spice performed her version of the track.

Taylor Swift has never performed at the Indio, California music festival herself. She attended Coachella once before, in 2016, as an attendee, where she debuted her new bleach-blonde bob haircut and wore a lightning bolt jacket in support of her then-boyfriend Calvin Harris. At the time, Harris had collaborated with Rihanna on the song “This Is What You Came For,” which Swift co-wrote under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg.

Swift and Ice Spice’s friendship began with their collaboration on a remix of Swift’s song “Karma,” released in May 2023. Swift expressed her admiration for Ice Spice, calling herself a “massive fan” of the rapper (real name: Isis Naija Gaston). Ice Spice later joined Swift on stage during the New Jersey stop of her Eras Tour later that month. Since then, they have been seen together at major events, including the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards and the 2024 Super Bowl, where they celebrated Travis Kelce’s win with the Kansas City Chiefs.
