Chiều 20-1, một trận hỏa hoạn đã xảy ra tại chùa Phật Quang (xóm Tư Nhân, thôn Tân Phong, xã Thanh Phong, H.Thanh Liêm, Hà Nam).
Theo đó, vào lúc 16g50′, Phòng Cảnh sát phòng cháy chữa cháy và cứu nạn cứu hộ – Công an tỉnh Hà Nam nhận được tin báo xảy ra hỏa hoạn tại chùa Phật Quang.
Sau khoảng 30 phút lực lượng chức năng tiếp cận và tổ chức chữa cháy, đám ch.áy đã được dập tắt hoàn toàn.

Trận h.ỏa h.o.ạn không gây thiệt hại về người, nhưng nhiều nội thất bên trong khu vực giảng đường (Pháp Vân đường) có diện tích 200m2, thuộc khuôn viên ngôi chùa cổ đã bị ch.á.y r.ụi.
Nguyên nhân xảy ra h.ỏa h.o.ạn gây th.i.ệ.t h.ạ.i tài sản đang được điều tra làm rõ.
