Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s life has changed dramatically in the last seven months. That’s to be expected when you start dating superstar singer Taylor Swift.

In the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Kelce talked about his trip last month to see Swift in Australia where The Eras Tour had stopped. It was a media frenzy Down Under.

Co-host/brother Jason Kelce asked: “Trav, what the hell is your life doing right now?”

Travis responded: “Dude, I have no idea. Yeah, a lot of false media being tossed out there but I’ll tell you what wasn’t false is when I landed in Australia and seeing all the cameras.”

Kelce added: “It’s a wild ride. But I will tell you this: Australia did not disappoint. It was amazing over there. I only went to Sydney. Got a lot of friends that I’ve met over the years that are out there in Melbourne. Definitely want to get out there and see you guys and see what Melbourne has to offer.

“But I’ll tell you what Sydney was a beautiful city. Yeah, the layout was very, I don’t want to say similar to Miami, but it has a lot of intercoastal. And it was cool to see. Just the layout of the land over there, let alone the zoo and seeing all the exotic animals and it was fun.”

Kelce and Swift spent part of a day visiting the Sydney Zoo and there were photos and videos of the pair walking together and seeing the animals.

Jason asked if there were drones flying overhead.

“There were full-on helicopters just flying around,” Travis said. “Yeah, they helicoptered us. Well not us. This is all because Taylor’s the biggest and the best thing possible.”

More on the zoo

Travis said he saw a red panda, a crocodile, elephants, lions, tigers, kangaroos, koalas and he got to pet a rhinoceros.

“It felt terrifying to be even in the same pen,” Travis said. “Me petting it was like me like putting my hand on a plastered wall. Dude, that thing was rock solid.”

Kelce summed up the day with Swift by saying: “It was fun. That was a fun one. And then we got to enjoy the Taylor Swift show.”

Kelce handed out guitar picks to fans at the show and received friendship bracelets from Swifties.

“Sydney did not disappoint. I’m pretty sure the crowds over there are actually well, they’re already rowdy,” Travis said. “The Australians are pretty rowdy, they like to have a good time. I like to have a good time. They were just like a little bit louder than the Argentinian crowd. And I was not expecting that because Argentina was loud and they were into it.

“Taylor is very fond of performing in Australia because of the crowds over there and how into it they get. Shout out to Australia for showing up showing out.”

Fashion faux pas

The one downside was the fashion choices by Kelce and his buddy Ross Travis. Kelce was in all blue and Travis was in yellow and social media had fun with that.

“I came downstairs from the hotel and I saw him and I was like, ‘Dammit,’” Kelce said. “I had my outfit on, he had his outfit and we were going to the car and we were on time. All right, can’t change now. And we’re just like, ‘We’re just gonna have to eat this one.’”

Kelce jerseys Down Under

Jason asked what it was like for Travis to see fans wearing his No. 87 Chiefs jersey at Swift’s shows.

“It’s pretty cool to just have your jersey being worn, even if it’s just on a day or at a football game,” Travis said.

Travis, who has become a topic for the celebrity gossip sites, cautioned fans.

“Don’t believe everything you read, especially what I’ve got going on,” he said.
