Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt took the stage together again to perform a “Barbenheimer” duet during Ryan’s Saturday Night Live monologue on April 13th.

The performance was set to the tune of Taylor Swift’s hit song “All Too Well.”

Ryan started his monologue by explaining he was hosting because of their upcoming movie “The Fall Guy” and initially stated he wouldn’t make any jokes about his character Ken from the summer blockbuster Barbie.

However, he quickly changed his mind, admitting he had to process his experience with the character.

Ryan then began playing the piano and singing about his memories as Ken, reflecting on his tight clothes and rollerblading around a big pink house. He was interrupted by co-star Emily Blunt, who told him it was time to let Ken go.

Blunt reminded him that they had planned a monologue featuring stunts for “The Fall Guy” instead of focusing on Ken.

Despite Ryan’s insistence that his performance was still connected to their movie, Blunt wasn’t convinced, encouraging him to move on from his Barbie character.

As Ryan continued to sing, he was joined by Emily, who eventually gave in and began to sing about her experience with “Oppenheimer.” The two reminisced about their characters and their summer in the spotlight.

The duet was a playful mix of their respective summer films, Barbie and Oppenheimer, as they humorously tried to say goodbye to their characters. Ultimately, the segment ended with a lively performance and anticipation for the rest of the show featuring musical guest Chris Stapleton.
